Good questions

Frequently asked

Is every piece really one of a kind?

Yes. Each piece is cut from a single vintage textile, so no two are alike. When it sells, it's gone — and it stays on the site marked Sold so you can see what we've made.

Which quilts do you upcycle?

I sew from vintage quilts and linens, many of them well loved, with tears, stains or worn spots. I repair what needs repairing so each piece holds together.

Will my piece show its age?

Yes. Do not expect a brand new coat. Expect  a well love quilt that may have stains, tears or wear, but never an awful smell — that's the character of a textile with a past.

How do I care for it?

Spot clean when you can. If it needs a full wash, hand wash cold with a gentle detergent (we like Restoration brand) and lay flat to dry or hang dry. Never tumble dry — vintage cotton shrinks and old seams strain.

Can you make something from my family's quilt?

Yes! I make custom quilt coats, hoodies and handbags. Send me your quilt and I’ll do the sewing, or I can find a vintage quilt for you. Pricing depends on your project. Start a custom order.

What is your return policy?

All sales are final, no returns or exchanges. Custom orders made from your own textile are final sale. See the full policy.
