Care Guide
Vintage textiles are sturdier than they look, but they've already lived one life. A little care keeps them going for the next.
Everyday
- Spot clean small marks with cool water and a drop of gentle detergent.
- Air it out between wears instead of washing.
- Store folded or on a wide hanger, out of direct sun — sunlight fades old dyes fast.
When it needs a real wash
- Hand wash in cold water with a mild, dye-free detergent. Don't soak longer than 15 minutes.
- Press water out gently; never wring or twist.
- Lay flat to dry on a towel, reshaping as it dries.
- Never tumble dry. Vintage cotton shrinks and old seams strain under heat.
- Cool iron on the reverse side if needed.
Always follow the care label sewn into your piece — some pieces have specific instructions.
Mending
If a seam lets go, tell me. Mending is part of the life of these pieces, and I'm happy to help.
